Impact of Sex on Kidney Transplant Outcomes: Insights Gained from Collaborative Research by McGill, Heidelberg, and Koç Universities

In a collaborative effort by McGill, Heidelberg, and Koç Universities and after harmonizing data from the three largest transplant registries worldwide, namely CTS, SRTR, and ANZDATA, the impact on organ transplant outcomes of sex was investigated in more than 400,000 kidney transplant recipients. In a series of articles listed below, important insights were provided on the intricate interplay between recipient and donor sex and age-dependent graft and patient survival in kidney transplantation.
